The Red Sox

Today Johnny Damon left the Red Sox and went to the Yankees. $52 million over 4 years. Apparently, $40 Million wasn't enough. Where is the loyalty? Everything is about money.
What happened to players like Gabe Kapler, who played in Japan because he, get this, ENJOYED PLAYING. He was able to play first string in Japan for a while, then he came back to the Sox to play.
Before this Damon deal, in their infinite wisdom, they traded away Mirabelli, who was their only catcher for Wakefield, not to mention, an excellent clutch player.
Needless to say I'm not too happy about the goings-on in the Red Sox office, for sure.

In Training...

Here I am at the fantastic Best Western Concord. I have now gone through 12 days of cable training. I can climb a 28ft extension ladder, put connectors on cable and calculate loss through cable, connectors and spiltters.
I'm very excited about the job ahead and what I can do with it. Its not a job you just quit, like other jobs I've had. You can excel and move up and onward, or do the same thing forever.
Maybe I'll write in this thing every once in a while.

I'm using Hello as opposed to w.bloggar right now as a test. I think I like w.bloggar better as you can edit the html if you wish. You have a lot more options for pictures in Hello though.

More news for you...

Just recently Guild Wars was overtaken by Battlefield 2 as the #1 selling video game. Hopefully, GW will stay around long enough with the non-paying amazingness. WoW and Everquest 2 are still rocking with their monthly fees, and I don't understand how. Apparently I'm over the phase of paying for the game I've already paid for once.

Two more payments on my car and I will own it, thank god. You can see it at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/181867

I'm in a Guild (the point of Guild Wars) called Followers of Master Jack (FOMJ). Great people, great fun. Everyone should check it out. Our homepage is here: Followers of Master Jack

Reading things like this makes me wonder about the internet. I realize that the internet is here mostly to make money, however, I would like to see less ads on webpages, not more. I have adblock installed on firefox, and its all I can do to keep from removing every ad from every page. Maybe someday we will just walk around with ads on our foreheads, as we already wear advertisements on our clothing.
Thats it for now, my little rant.

"I am away from my computer right now."

Could you seriously leave an away message that tells us where you might be located or what you might be doing? Either that or just go idle.
It's very boring for us people that sit in front of the computer, reading away messages all day.

Very relaxing weekend for Kelly and myself, which is always nice. There are so many things that I want to buy though. I found out that my ASUS K8V SE Deluxe is going bad (USB port is shorted out), so I need to get one ($109 at newegg). I need a rear rim for my Trek 820, which is about $60, and I need more RAM, to the tune of 2GB (cuz its go big or go home from now on). My car will be paid off in 2 months, and I will actually own something. Amazing.

Like I have said from the beginning, this war on terror is not something to be taken lightly. This is a fanatical religion/faction and its not something that you can just go in and remove from power.

I've come to a conclusion, before I've even played Forza Motorsport, that Gran Turismo 4 is the best console racing simulation game there is. I still need to test drive Forza, but I'm sure nothing will take away GT's crown.

Guild Wars was the best selling PC game last month, which isn't a surprise, as it is an excellent game and I'm glad I was playing something that is this popular, but before it was popular.

See you all next time!

Today....

I went to my house to get some mail and to see my mom and grandma for my birthday. My mom gave me a check and so did my grandma.
I picked up my bike, which is just the frame and the front tire, as the rear tire is warped to shit. I'm going to borrow kelly's brothers rear rim, until I can afford a rear rim from nashbar . I made a little shopping list for my bike as well, as I need to get it cleaned and re-greased.
Kelly and I just just rented Coach Carter, so hopefully we picked a good one. Everyone I know that saw it, said it was great.
Tomorrow is the big Sandwich 4th of July Celebration, so we will be out and about all day.

Also, I changed the settings on the blog so that you can leave a comment, even if you aren't a blogger member.

Have a good 4th!!

Birthday!

I had a great Birthday! Kelly and I just hug out all day, which was very relaxing. I got an MP3 Player, a Gerber Tool, and a sweet Red Sox long sleeve shirt!
That's all for now!

Blogging?

I don't understand this phenomenon. Blogging, or updating your personal life on the internet for all to see, is a very interesting subject. I guess it doesn't have to be personal, but usually it is.
I'm watching the Red Sox with Kelly. 0-0 in the 4th. Kinda boring game today.
We are also kinda looking into houses, which is fun, and exciting. I would like a fixer-upper, because its much more fun to do the stuff yourself. Like Kelly's room, we really did up nice. There are a few things left to do, but I think we did a great job, for amateurs that is!
I have to work in the backroom all day tomorrow, and the only saving grace is that I won't have to deal with customers, and I'll be working with someone who knows what they are doing (Mike).
That's all for now, maybe more later.

My birthday is on Thursday this week, June 30th. At least remember that I'm old please!
